workshops About The Gallery
A brand new Gallery on Mendocino Avenue in our new location.
Cultural Arts Council Gallery is centrally located at 404 Mendocino Ave, Suite C, downtown Santa Rosa. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from Noon to 5:00pm and Saturday from Noon to 4:00pm. The gallery is free and open to the public. Members receive a 15% discount on Gallery purchases.


The Gallery features exhibits throughout the year that focus on the creative expression and cultural heritage of Sonoma County. The Gallery is home to the ARTrails Preview Show every October.

Workshops and panel discussions provide valuable information for artists and art enthusiasts.

An Arts Council of Sonoma County exhibit featuring diminutive works of large impact.

The Arts Council of Sonoma County presents its second Small Works juried exhibition which made its debut in 2006.  Small Works features diminutive works, no larger than 12 inches in dimension, of large impact.  Artworks include two and three dimensional pieces of all media by artists from Marin, Napa, and Sonoma counties.

About the Juror
Juror David Best is an internationally-renowned American sculptor and collage artist,  Educated in California at the San Francisco Art Institute, Best has exhibited widely at venues such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Oakland Museum, and the San Jose Museum of Art.  Best began his collaborative sculptural work with art car transformations, which feature vehicles altered by recycled materials and found objects.  Best is also known for the enormous temples made out of recycled wood sheets created for the Burning Man events in Nevada.
