VERY IMPORTANT!!: For both Returning and New Artists.
  • If you are using an Apple Mac computer you MUST open up the application forms in Adobe Reader or it will not save the form details. Adobe Reader is a free program and can be downloaded from the following link very easily. You can download it from here.


After you have downloaded and clicked to install it will ask you if you wish to make Adobe Reader the default program for 'PDF' documents. Please agree to that. It will not harm your computer in any way.


  • If you only have the Safari browser on your computer, open up the application form and save it to your computer desktop without entering any details. Then close Safari. Go to your desktop and double click on the application form you have saved there and, if you have downloaded and installed Adobe Reader it will then open up in that program and you will be able to fill out the form and save all the data you enter on the form.
  • The ideal browser for both Mac's and PC's is "Firefox". It is a free Open Source browser. We recommend that you use that browser. It can be downloaded here.

Happy 2012 visual artists! Please note that the application for returning ARTrails artists and prospective ARTrails artists will be available online beginning February 1, 2012. This is an editable document that you can save for your records, and submit online. Should you have any questions, please either call us at 707.579.2787 (ARTS) or e mail atartrails@artscouncilsc.com.
